Winnipeg is the capital of Manitoba.
We spent the day exploring Winnipeg and it was colddd. For brunch we decided to truly start out Canadian adventure we had to have poutine. We went to the Exchange Market District, parked and paid, and ate at Smoke’s Poutinerie. I had pulled pork poutine and it was delicious.
Now we could truly begin. We drove through the Exchange Market District and Downtown.
Then we parked at Johnston Terminal.
Inside is a bunch of antique shops and then exiting the other side we came to The Forks. We walked up the Forks Tower there to get a view of the city.
Inside is the Forks Market which is filled with local food, crafts and souvenirs.
Exiting the Forks we walked to The Plaza and admired the Canadian Museum of Human Rights.
We then went west through Peace Park back towards the Human Rights Museum back to the car.

Walked north towards Esplanade Riel Footbridge.
THE FORKS NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE
We then walked south-east to The Forks National Historic Site.
VARIETY HERITAGE ADVENTURE
We continued through the park passing Variety Heritage Adventure Park.
MANITOBA LEGISLATIVE BUILDING
Driving back through Downtown we passed the Manitoba Legislative Building.
